Whether teaching her trusty deputy Peck (a woodpecker voiced by Lucas Grabeel of “High School Musical”) a lesson about good sportsmanship through a game of horseshoes, or helping her horse Sparky regain his confidence after he slips and falls during a barrel race, Callie always comes to the aid of her townsfolk and in the process, imparts lessons about good morals, manners, and social ethics for kids ages 2-7. Not only do both of my kids (ages 2 and 4-almost-5) love shows like “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”, “Doc McStuffins”, “Octonauts”, and “Jake and the Neverland Pirates” – but as a parent, I do too! The shows are cute, fun, entertaining – and most importantly for me, they teach great lessons. Disney Junior is our family’s go-to channel when the kids get to enjoy a little restful TV time.
